David Praet
Directeur des Relations Internationales / Director International Relations, SKYWIN
David est ingénieur de gestion diplômé de Solvay/ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles. Après un passage au sein du Cabinet ministériel bruxellois des Finances et du Budget, il a travaillé plus de 4 ans au sein de BELSPO – la Politique Scientifique belge, s’occupant de la politique spatiale belge et en particulier des relations avec l’ESA dans le domaine des satellites de communication.
En collaboration étroite avec l’AWEX – Agence wallonne à l'Exportation et aux Investissements étrangers, David coordonne toutes les activités internationales du pôle SKYWIN telles que l’organisation de collectivités wallonnes pour des salons internationaux (par exemple le Bourget, Farnborough etc) ou les relations avec d’autres clusters internationaux.
David se charge également des relations de SKYWIN avec des organisations internationales telles que Cleansky, l’EDA, l’ESA, ASD ou la Communauté européenne.
Son objectif principal étant de renforcer la visibilité internationale du pôle SKYWIN et d’accroître encore la compétitivité du tissu aérospatial wallon.
David is a management engineer from Solvay / ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles.
After a stint in the Brussels Ministers’ Cabinet for Finance and Budget, he worked for more than 4 years at BELSPO – the Belgian Science Policy Office, dealing with Belgian Space Policy and in particular relations with ESA in the field of communication satellites.
In close collaboration with the AWEX - Walloon Agency for Export and Foreign Investment, David coordinates all the international activities of the SKYWIN cluster such as the organization of Walloon communities for international exhibitions (eg Bourget, Farnborough, etc.) or relations with other international clusters.
David is also responsible for Skywin's relations with international organizations such as Cleansky, EDA, ESA, ASD or the European Community.
His main objective is to reinforce the international visibility of the SKYWIN cluster and to further increase the competitiveness of the Walloon aerospace sector.
