Disruptive leaps in Materials Sourcing thru AI & Digitalization
Material sourcing is one of the biggest challenges today, fighting against inflation, supply shortages, no stock availability, faltering markets, war and crisis. Material bans and embargos, legal and environmental restrictions and supply chain regulations even intensify these challenges. The speech will show how MoovinV helps its customers to utilize its software tool (JULIE AGILE SOURCING) and integrated AI services to overcome these challenges and to even turn them into a competitive advantage. Finally we will chat out of the box, how to use the shown solutions in fully integrated and compliant Aerospace approval and sourcing processes.
We will cover the topics:
- Efficient fully digital processes for material sourcing to cut sourcing times down to a fraction
- Use of equivalent materials to get material from where it is globally available
- Use of AI to find the right time for material orders, to buy at the best availability and at the lowest cost
-

DRIVING PERFORMANCE IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN WITH DIGITAL CONTINUITY
Increased production rates call for strategic planning, accelerated digitalization and stronger partnerships with all players in the supply chain. This round table aims to take stock of the transformations needed to optimize production lead times and secure supplies.
The aim is to raise awareness of the challenges linked to production lead times, performance evaluation, and the importance of integrated digital continuity, providing an overview of the progress of each stage of production. Data sharing is a strategic issue, requiring negotiation and contractualization to guarantee both confidentiality and information integrity.

LEVERAGING AUTOMATED GUIDED VEHICLES FOR MACHINING AEROSPACE PARTS
To increase efficiency and reduce staffing requirements in aerospace parts manufacturing, it is increasingly important to use automation solutions. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are frequently used in the manufacturing and logistics sectors. However, they are rarely used in combination with machine tools to manufacture aerospace parts. This presentation will show why a GROB AGV system is more efficient than a conventional flexible manufacturing system (FMS). An AGV system saves space, improves internal transport of materials and connects many plant resources. The benefits in terms of production are more extensive than for the machining of aerospace parts.

Decarbonizing Business Air Travel: On the Path to Zero Emissions?
As we envision the future of business air travel, sustainability and carbon neutrality stand out as major challenges. With aircraft production at record highs and traffic returning to pre-pandemic levels, the essential task is achieving decarbonization to sustain this growth. This panel will provide an overview of the challenges related to the production and distribution of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), the adoption of more fuel-efficient aircraft, and the promotion of business fares that incorporate sustainability criteria, distributed by airlines and travel agents using digital tools. Additionally, Airbus will share its business travel policy, illustrating the importance of encouraging voluntary demand.

Request for the implementation of security measures related to fire safety and the security of supplier sites
The latest events, which led to fire at several of our Supply Chain production sites (6 by 2024 for THALES), are a wake-up call and a reminder of the importance of controlling fire and safety risks. These events also echo the resurgence of acts of malicious intent among a number of players in the Defense Industrial and Technological Base, which take on a particular dimension in the context of the War Economy. Thales suppliers are key players in French sovereign programs. It is therefore essential that they ensure the prevention of these risks on their sites in order to guarantee the delivery of products and enable us to meet our commitments to our own customers, in particular the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. In this context, we kindly ask them to ensure the implementation of immediate actions to secure their sites and accelerate fire risk mitigation plans.

On-shelf Hexavalent chromium alternatives for a short take-off
REACh has enabled significant investment in the development of safer solutions, with clear benefits for human health, the environment and the companies concerned. Beneficiaries include manufacturers and end-users.
The introduction of four main alternatives to hexavalent chromium marks an important milestone:
- Substitutions to OAC.
- Three alternatives to replace OAS formerly sealed with hexavalent chromium.
- Three alternatives to hexavalent chromium-coated hard anodizing.
- Four alternatives for conversion to hexavalent chrome.
These options offer a wide range of possible combinations according to industrial needs.
The comparative assessment evaluates the performance of these alternatives: some are better, others still need fine-tuning.
Finally, a new, innovative and qualified treatment is shown to be economical and highly effective.
