Disruptive leaps in Materials Sourcing thru AI & Digitalization
Material sourcing is one of the biggest challenges today, fighting against inflation, supply shortages, no stock availability, faltering markets, war and crisis. Material bans and embargos, legal and environmental restrictions and supply chain regulations even intensify these challenges. The speech will show how MoovinV helps its customers to utilize its software tool (JULIE AGILE SOURCING) and integrated AI services to overcome these challenges and to even turn them into a competitive advantage. Finally we will chat out of the box, how to use the shown solutions in fully integrated and compliant Aerospace approval and sourcing processes.
We will cover the topics:
- Efficient fully digital processes for material sourcing to cut sourcing times down to a fraction
- Use of equivalent materials to get material from where it is globally available
- Use of AI to find the right time for material orders, to buy at the best availability and at the lowest cost
Dr.-Ing. Toni EHRIG (PhD in AI), CTO - MoovinV Inc.

The Greek National Security R&D Ecosystem: Exploring new synergies
The Greek Ministry of Defense has established itself as a partner in EU-funded R&D projects (HE, HORIZON, EDF).
There is currently an ever-expanding R&D ecosystem in Greece, in which the Ministry of Defense plays a central role by acting as a hub, bringing together the European business community and the Greek armed forces, and matching their skills with real R&D challenges. The presentation will highlight the R&D profile of the Greek Ministry of Defense and explore potential new synergies with AEROMART 2024 participants.
WINGS (Walloon Innovation for Green Skies) is a €148M, 56-month project funded by the Walloon Region involving 21 Walloon partners and 280 full-time equivalents focused on technologies to decarbonize aviation by 2050.The project is divided into 6 Work Packages: Aerostructure, Propulsion, Communication, Material & Processes, Digitalization & Digital Simulation and Industry 4.0.The project was born in October 2020 thanks to the support of the Wallon Region to enable the aerospace actors to continue their efforts to develop technologies for decarbonized aviation .
The presentation will provide an overview of the challenges, first results and the innovative collaboration actions that have been put in place to make this project a success.
To increase efficiency and reduce staffing requirements in aerospace parts manufacturing, it is increasingly important to use automation solutions. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are frequently used in the manufacturing and logistics sectors. However, they are rarely used in combination with machine tools to manufacture aerospace parts. This presentation will show why a GROB AGV system is more efficient than a conventional flexible manufacturing system (FMS). An AGV system saves space, improves internal transport of materials and connects many plant resources. The benefits in terms of production are more extensive than for the machining of aerospace parts.
